Thanks to Ken aka harronek from Australia sent this friction folder that is made by a fellow that goes by K'roo from South Africa. Blade is N690co, not sure on the scales, but the friction fit seems just about right for it not to come free in your pocket. Cuts very nice, handy size folder

Forgot to mention, Ken has another folder on order with K'roo, a bit higher quality one, so he felt he could part with this one, since a bit nicer one is inbound to him, as he does like K'roo's work :)

closed frame about 3.8"
including the tang makes it about 4.7" long
Blade about 2.6" long and about 3mm thick

Here are a couple images of her

Always nice to get a package, especially from down under ;)

It's nice, now the edge on this one I actually put on using my Work Sharp Ken Onion edition so it has a nice gentle convex type edge, rascal got quite sharp!

That's a very nice looking fricky with clean lines and a useful looking blade shape and well suited grip. Enjoy that one Gary, and thanks for sharing!

Beautiful knife Gary and really amazing quality pictures. My K'roo has quickly become part of my edc

Good looking knife Gary! Looking forward to hearing how you like carrying a friction folder with and extended tang like this one.

Kroo is an amazing guy to deal with . In the pics on your photo bucket link my knife that is coming is on there . It's the all Ti copper inlaid Lannys Clip . Super excited to get my hands on it . When it arrives I will be sure to post pics .

Thanks guys, Ken said this is one of his less expensive offerings so not as much time spent on it but it follows the price in that respect.

Friction folders, the spine whack test is directly proportional to your grip strength ;)

Not sure yet on carry method, I don't know if I want the tang exposed, but we'll see how it goes, right now just being carefully carried in my pocket.

Ken made a pretty neat sheath for his Svord folder seen here;

His leatherwork is exceptional !

Normally I would put a whipping tie so the lanyard can't move into the area of the blade, but in this case, for a little added protection for me, I made the diamond knot's position so that you have to push it a little bit to get around the end of the handle and then it stays in place above the blade, preventing any accidental openings.

Gary,

Thanks for the kind words about the sheath , but one thing you forgot to mention is how handsome and good looking I am :)
Is there anyway with your fine photographic skills that you could do a close up of the edge you put on it ?
Did you go for a polished or toothy edge ?
Also nice idea with the lanyard doubling as a way of retaining the closed blade
How to carry a friction folder is always a dilemma , that's why I made that sheath for the Svord , horizontal was the only way I was happy with because there is minimal chance of jabbing yourself with the exposed tang .
The new friction folder I have coming from Willem has a pocket clip on it , which is something I wouldn't usually feel comfortable with on a knife that has no blade retention , but it was designed with a specific job in mind and it will be carried in a narrow pocket inside my suit jacket so there should be no way that it will open while being carried .
It's pleasing to see others here have some of Willem's knives , if you have some post up some pics .

Ken

As to the edge, more polished but still slightly toothy, a good mixture.

and here you can see the reflection in the edge of the bar code

Very cool! Fantastic looking knife! Brumby53 generously put me in touch with Willem (K'roo) and I agree he is extremely nice to deal with. Hoping to work on an order with him very soon.

Congrats again Gary on that sweet knife :)

Thanks Drew and yes if anyone has pictures please post them
