Attractive bone on this one for sure.
I'm a bit confused, is this a re-handle job or a new knife with an old blade?
Good size as well with your usual well composed pictures.

This is re-handled old Camillus by talented SA knifemaker and very nice person too.

Nice knife! Congratz to Italy!

The bone is interessting. Especially the structure makes it looking something like wood. Great knife!

Kind regards
Andi

Thanks for the info Mike.
Good thickness and radiusing to that knife and I think the green suits it really well.

Thanks to you all.

@alfaholic: take a look in Britishblades, and search for "smokepole", you may contact him via PM

Alfredo,
thanks for sharing. The giraffe bone does look nice, and it's surely pretty unusual around here... :D

Hi Alfredo,

I wouldn't even have known about this posting if it wasn't for Steven..!:o Anyway, I am glad the knife arrived OK and that you like it - thank you for the posting and the kind words. In fact, thank all of you for the kind comments, especially Mike!
Willgoy, to give a little more detail - I took an old TL 29 Electricians knife, removed the locking mechanism (as well as the liner that goes with it), the electricians/wire stripping blade and used the spearpoint blade, one spring, two liners and bolsters from the original knife - after cleaning them up a bit and resetting the tension on the spring and adjusting snap a little, and added the colored giraffe bone. I colored it myself and wanted to get this "aged" effect - this I did by working the bone down only slightly, so that some of the surface cracks remained and not heating the bone up as much as usual before dunking it in the dye.
Oh, and I added the "cutouts" to turn it into an easy opener.

As to the Karoo and K'roo - you are both correct - I live in the Karoo region but my brand name is K'roo - as that is how it is pronounced locally!;)

Thank you all again!

I love the idea of using an old blade in a new knife!

Well done, I've never seen giraffe bone. Now i want some.:D
