KSF Baldric rig... Anyone here have one?

I've been staring at that baldric rig on KSF for a week or two now. Has anyone tried it with a BK9(or any other large blade?)?

It looks like a nice, comfortable way to carry a large blade or a machete and smaller knife. I like the idea of bolting on one of those holt otter box carriers or axe carrier too.

So, any opinions or ideas?
 
i got one , i've carried my brkt golok on it with ease, it's made for large blades and bush axes. i'm sure a bk9 would feel right at home one such a setup. :thumbup:
 
Pictures? I'm baldric curious as well. It would be interesting to know how much the knife moves around on you (swinging, shifting position, etc.) while you're on the move. Cool topic.

For baldric carry, I like to have a belt clip on my sheath. I like to clip it in to keep it from swinging or bouncing agains my hip, or thigh. Talk about annoying, and painful. First time I wore a baldric, we hit the Smokies early in the morning, by lunch, my left hip hurt so bad, I put the knife in the bag. It puts the knife in the bag or it gets the hose.

Love baldrics, but there needs to be something to steady it when on the move, around camp, best method of carry ever.

i do agree with this, unsheath my golok start chopping bent over, sheath and baldric swings in my way....slide to my back...repeat as nessery. baldric and belt is the way to go. maybe i'll do some pics tomorrow for curious folks of some rigs :thumbup:

I look forward to seeing some different rigs--until then I guess I'll have to search for myself, as I'm not really sure exactly what baldric rig is.:confused:
 
could you use some paracord to tie off the baldric to the closest belt loop or just around your belt?

Go to knivesshipfree.com, and then to sheaths, where you will find the Baldric rig. It's basically a rig tha goes across your shoulder and chest, that leaves the sheath at your side. It is adjustable to how you want it rigged.

The Baldric rig is what you see on 15th century knights.:thumbup::)
