Hello all,

I'm looking at options for pocket carry of my new #79 Montana 2-blade...

I've been eye-balling the KSF slip-sheath for some time and am sitting here ready to order it, but am now not sure what "size" is best for this #79 Montana. By chance to any of you have this KSF sheath for folders and can you advise if your #79 fits it well (mine is a 2-blade)? There's 3 sizes and all are very close - a Small is: a 4.5" x 1.5", and another one is 5" x 2.7", and a Large is: 5 3/8 x 1 7/8".

Due to me not knowing how thick/stiff this leather is, or if these dimensions are outside or inside measurements I'm left wondering. (My Montana is 3.75" closed by .5" thick and 1" wide.)

No answer on the phone from KSF so far...

Thanks for any info here :)

I'm sure Derrick will swing by in a bit to answer this for you. Or you could PM/email him. His screenname is okbohn if memory serves.

Your choice. The Montana will fit in all of them. Here is my 3-blade and the small pocket sheath.

Wow thanks Rick that's an awesome pic - worth a thousand words! :)

Yes I have spoken to them by now and they've been super helpful, very excited about this sheath.

Sorry everyone I've tried numerous times to "edit" my original post to let you all know that I did get through to them but it won't let me edit. I've had a lot of problems on this computer with this site so it just won't let me. I made the order for the Standard (small) and cant wait to receive it.

Thanks so much for the responses!

You'll love having one in your pocket. I am amazed how ADDING weight and size can make the knife feel so much nicer in the pocket. :)
