The Kamloops Target Sports Association is holding their annual gun show again this year on April 22-23, 2017. This show has traditionally been well represented by knife makers, especially from the Western Canada Knife Association (WCKA).

I will be there, as will Darcy Ellis, Bruce Culberson, Frank Niro, and hopefully some other BF members and makers.

Here is a link with more info on the show.

I'll post some of the knives that I am bringing below. Hopefully others will join in.

This one is thin 15N20 with canvas micarta scales. I don't use synthetic materials often, but I really like how this stuff looks.

This next one I am pretty proud of. Clay quenched W2, with spalted curly maple, dyed and stabilized by WSSI.

Punching the dates into my phone.

For anyone who's a first timer showing up early helps. Parking fills up fast!

Thanks for the compliments guys. I hope to see some of you there.

Here are a couple more that I'm finishing up.

Another one in 15N20 steel and feather walnut. This wood has really nice figure but I wasn't able to capture it in my light box.

Here's a clipped hunter with spalted maple, dyed and stabilized.

Good stuff Shane. Looking forward to chicken eyeing and coon fingering those:thumbup::D

I'll have some stuff to show pretty soon, I hope. Got more irons in the fire than you can shake a pair of tongs at!

Darcy:)

Hey Darcy, post your pics up!

Here's another clipped hunter with desert ironwood.

I will also have a few primitive arrowheads to bring along.

I don't have a lot ready yet, but quite a few more in progress. Here're a couple simple hunters and one unusual folder that will be there.

Aldo's W-2 with hamon and jigged bone. 4.5" blade. Nickel silver pins.

Aldo's W-2 with antique etch. 5" blade. Elk antler scales. Copper Pins and tube.

And a liner lock, assembled with peened stainless pins(broke my last 2-56 tap, so went to plan "B") 6" O-1 blade with (attempted) flame edge and antique etch, 7.25" closed. Green canvas micarta scales. Titanium liners and pocket clip.

Darcy:)

Shane and Darcy - you guys are both off to a great start! I don't have much finished but got a few started:

First time playing with w2:

Very cool Bruce. I like your friction folders. I was thinking about completing a folder that I started, but I just won't get around to it.

Here's my mossy trail model, with ringed gidgee scales. I love how this turned out.

All the leather is done for the show as well!

Looking good Bruce. Those friction folders are little brutes. Light and thin, but strong:thumbup:

Any pics of your apprentice's work??;)

I hope to have a couple more exciting pieces done in time for the show.

Darcy:)
