hi all,
i just got one of his folders a true "LEFTY" setup and am quite impressed with the matrials and the fit and finish..i don't see many knives or any comments about this maker, though in price...he is right up there with the others currently making customs..
ANY THOUGHTS or COMMENTS or pics of yours...?
mine is a kind of damascus blade (highly polished and deeply etched)
file work on the top, titat. rough blasted bolsters and clip, ironwood overlay on the handles, jeweled liners and an opal inlaid thumbstud to top it off..opening is butter smooth.

I love to see those lefty knives!! Don't know anything about him or his work, but all the pictures I've seen look like great functional designs, no b.s. about them.:)

I met John Kubasek at the Knife show in Marlboro, Mass. today. Handled quite a few of his knives and all were very nice and well made.

I have been going to NCCA shows for over 16 years now and have never seen John miss one. His folders are fantastic. He had another lefty at yesterdays show with a tanto blade. Great guy great knives.
