I picked this up today in the Buck store. This summer I left a Paramilitary at a jobsite in Moses Lake WA, approx 2 hrs from Spokane. I didn't realize it until I got home. Well I turned around and drove back to get it.
I will carry a Buck, Hinderer, CRK or a Spyderco and wouldn't think too much about it until the day I made the 4 hour round trip. Well not anymore, the Bantam is a perfect knife for 99 percent of what we do in a day.plus at a price point of 12 to 25 dollars depending on which model you choose. Losing it doesn't ruin your day. Kudos Buck for a good USA folder.

Kryptic camo

Ps, another good deal is a 32oz glass of your favorite brew at dinner.

I'm a big fan of the bantam. The 286 is my favorite, the size is so cool and useful. But three sizes to choose from covers all needs! I checker the top of the thumb stud with a file for better control with my thumb. I would not have tried that on an expensive knife. It works good. I also love the shape of the blade. Great knife!!!

Great knives. I've carried one or Its predecessor, the 482/4/6 for many years. The clip Is stronger on the bantam. I lost many 484's. For ranch work I now prefer the orange camo. Shows up a lot easier when it gets knocked to the ground.

Still waiting for a s30v version.

yep. have a bunch use them. use them daily at work and home. still kinda like the 0486 bucklites better. wish those werent pretty much gone.

I was ordering 3 of the 285 flag for the new grandsons but there sold out so I went with 286. Last year I bought 5 and had them engraved with our bands name for Christmas gifts to the band. I think it's one of the best bargains in a USA Buck. I can't give a review because I gave mine to Armand. ..

Practical knives. I was shopping in an Academy Sports store yesterday, saw a young man (mid-20's maybe) telling his girlfriend (wife?) that these Buck Knives are good gifts and reasonable too (he had three Buck packages in hand) - she was nodding in agreement. It was funny, but I was proud for Buck - lot's of cheap imports to pick from all around the Buck Knife packages on the aisle. OH

If 32oz of beer was offered for a quarter,,,,, I would still be there.
It was for size comparison. The first pic I took was with a Rick Hinderer XM18 Bowie folder.
