Being a longtime fan of Buck knives, I recently ordered a couple of 110's through the Custom shop. I ordered one with stag & another with jigged buffalo horn. Although I was pleased with them, I had a different vision of how the jigged buffalo horn scales should be done. Certainly nothing wrong with the way they we're, just different from what I had in mind. After finding this forum at about the same time the knives arrived, I decided to email Joe Houser & discuss my ideas with him. Joe talked with the custom shop about what I had in mind, and a few emails later, he said they could do the knife as I requested. He told me to return the original & a new knife would be made up. I received the newly made one yesterday & as I told Joe when I emailed him back, I couldn't have been happier with the way it turned out. They did a spectacular job on it.....it even exceeded my expectations!! It definitely won't be my last Custom. I already have plans for a smooth handled one in buffalo horn. I just wanted to relay my experience with Buck & especially thank Joe here for all his help in getting this knife made the way I wanted it. He was always prompt in answering any emails I sent him. Truly a class act. Buck is a company that definitely knows what customer service is all about! Thank you Joe, Sarah & the Custom shop.
