Just read the latest copy of Knife World and was very impressed with Mike Robuck's article on Menefee Made knives. I'm quite surprised that no one had posted about this article because I'm sure that with the exception of our friends north of the border (Charlie) I'm the last person who receives this publication each month. :D
The article is very well written, I felt like I was just having a conversation with Mike about Rick's work. After reading I came away with a sense that I knew Rick a little better. The photos are great, including Kerry Hampton's of the different pattern Rick is making. I don't know about you guys but I already called Rick & am ordering another Menefee Made Traditional knife!!

Well...you'd be wrong in thinking that you're the last to get your copies.

Mine still hasn't arrived and I'm only one state away from TN! (Of course I think their distribution center is elsewhere.)
 
Still waiting and now that I know what is in it, "dying to get my grubby hands on it". :D.

It's probably not on the newstands yet but would someone mind telling me which issue this is in? (month or issue #)
 
Don't feel bad men! I haven't got my copy yet! I had to call
and make them send me another, Because they said it had already been
sent out... You guys might want to call and check it out... just sayin

Thanks Dave. I really enjoyed talking to Rick for the story since I didn't really know him that well prior. Thanks to everyone who made it happen. It's the Oct. issue and they don't sell them at newsstands. They do have a free, three issue trial. The current issue also has a good Case story in it.
 
Thanks for the heads up Mike. I could have sworn I've seen Knife World at some of the bookstores, but it looks like I was wrong. Guess I better sign up for my free trial.

Ricky Bob is a man of many talents, and worthy of a write up!
I hope some day to own a Harness Jack made by Rick!

Dang, this means his backlog is just going to get longer and longer now doesn't it? I guess I better get on the ball and start saving..

Seriously though, congrats on the article Rick. You certainly deserve the right up.
