Fumble fingers that I am, I lost one of the bronze phosphor washers from my ZT 0550 while cleaning it - it dropped on the floor and was never seen again....

I called ZT hoping they could point me in the right direction of where to find one. Good folks that they are, they're just sending me another free of charge. I insisted on paying for the cost of the part and shipping as this was clearly my fault, but they flat out wouldn't take my money. Very impressive.

However, I was just wondering if this was something I could find at Home Depot or Ace Hardware? Can you buy bronze phosphor washers of the correct size locally?

A year or so ago one of the clip screws on my 0350 stripped. I requested a new screw, they sent me two screws and a new clip FOC. A couple of weeks ago, a screw on my Kershaw Rake came loose, e-mailed them, and they sent me two new screws. Unfortunately, they were not the right screws. I debated on whether to let them know and ask for correct screws, finally did, told them I would be happy to pay for the screws or to send back the others, was told no, they were sorry they had sent the wrong ones and said the correct length screws would be going out. Top-freakin' notch.

I've never seen pb (or any other material) washers in sizes suitable for folding knife use in my area (Phoenix), but that may vary according to your location. I usually order mine from one of the online knife parts outfits. Get yourself a cheap digital caliper to get the exact measurements, and you're all set.
