Last week, a good friend and fellow forumite and I went for a rainy walk..we built a quick ground blind for him to hunt in, the following week. I thought that it would be a good time to test out my new CAK. Ofcourse...its AWESOME..cause all Kuks are.;)
Anyways..I brought along a new to me , Kellam prowler, and my buddy brought his new Scrapyard Dogfather and Busse Skrfa..(or something).
Also..Tooly, Wes's 100 pound pit was our constant companion and entertainment. Overall, it was a good little hike.
The Dogfather was a good chopper in its own right, and very stout.
The CAK in my opinion, is gonna be the bar that I set all others against...I own a much bigger CAK, but this one fits..if you know what I mean.

Nice post and photo's. :thumbup:

Indeed I do ... some folk are lucky and get that perfect match first time, but for others like us it can take a bit of time and a few Khuk's.

For me I was onto my seventh Khukuri before I found 'the one' ... a 18.25inch 31ounce Sgt Khardka Chiruwa Dui Chira. Another seven later and still none of them feel as good.

Yeah the sarge is an incredibly talented man. I thought I had found the perfect khukuri when I obtained my delightful horn handled 21.5" chitlangi by Sher. Later I obtained the magnificent Super CAK made by the Sarge and now know I have found the ultimate khukuri.

Will I buy more H.I. khukuris?

If I were to say no, it would be like my boy Thor saying he would reject a big piece of deer jerky. Yeah ok right. Of course I will but I no longer feel I *need* to buy more. I just 'want' more. There's some on my list I will be getting around to sharking after the holidays. Just because.

And now one my nieces is hooked on them. She says she wants one for her 18th birthday present. Uncle Wolfy can make this happen. She's leaning towards a sirupati. My brother's trying to get her to join the M43 Cult. :cool:

As I recently started taking a big interest in HI's line, many have told me of Sarge's prowess, I now own 2 of his, and he is very talented.

This is why I think we need to have a "convention" of sorts, one of these days: we need to be able to try out all these models, including each other's favorites, at least once, BEFORE our wallets give out.:)

RIGHT!:thumbup::D
Hows Austin treating you...I lived there for 8 years...great little city.

It hasn't been easy, to be honest: both recessions have hit this city harder than most.

Not to hijack my own thread, but I am feelin you Bro, I moved for just such a reason...:thumbdn: When things turn down there, its gonna be great.
Anyways, Thanks for the kind words people. Gene

Good field report, thanks! A good khuk, and a good scandi knife is a great combination. :thumbup:
