That would be a great start if your wanting one for mostly heavy chopping. If you describe what you plan to use it for it would be easier to make a suggestion.

Chopping wood too. I will pack it, though aren't most Kukri's packable? It's for survival and protection.

"It will be used on living humans".....wrong forum i think....have you tried the troll forum?.....sounds like definite plans to me.

You do realise one of the main purposes of the Kukri is to kill enemies? It was used by the Nepalese army and is designed to kill.

Do you realize you're not a rational member of society to ask people's advice on what knife would be best used on living humans?

Oliver:

If you're in the military and want a knife to carry into combat, you ought to say so. You also might want to indicate if you are over 18 (years).

When you say "It will be used on living humans," that sounds like you're planning something unpleasant and highly illegal. I've never actually heard anyone express "self defense" in quite that way.

At the risk of unintentionally becoming your accomplice: The CAK model to which you refer is a heavy duty chopper, not a fighting blade, although any sharp chunk of steel can "kill enemies," as you put it, and any HI model can "chop wood" to one degree or another. Have you considered a large kitchen knife? As I recall, that was used effectively in the Hitchcock movie, "Psycho."

I am not in the military, and I am 18. I am not planning anything illegal.

I'll lock this down before it spins out of control.

Oliver, please take a little time to browse this forum. You'll find a wealth of information and get a flavor of the civil nature of the participants.
