Hello all,

I'd like someone to be able to doublecheck my translation of a Kukri I just purchased. I believe it's a Classic Gurkha Army Kukri ("long leaf") and I think the inscription reads: "śrī rām 1/16 śrī 3 candra" which translates to Shri Ram battalion, Unit 1, weapon 16.

Is this correct? Is there any way to find info about that battalion? Thanks in advance!

Now you need to put that "antique" piece of armoury in a shadow box with info n pics, esp' the one of the spine inscription, and what you know of it's history...
