Kukri question....

Anybody have experience with blades from a company called "Khukri House?" I have been looking for a Kukri for field work / deployment and they look like a decent blade but I don't know the quality. Anybody with purchasing / using experience from these guys? I'd love to hear what you guys have to say pro/con.

Don't know about khukri house, but I have an Himalayan Import and I love it. (and another getting a new sheath done).
 
From what I heard Khukuri House makes a good blade. The price for the khukuri is low but they make up for it in shipping costs I was told by a fellow who bought one. I own about 18 khukuris from Himalayan Imports. I love their product and their price includes shipping. There is a forum site in the manufacturers section. During the week Aunt Yangdu offers specials that are reduced prices and are great bargains. Even if you pay regular price you get a great blade at moderate cost. I have bought both ways and have no complaints. Shipping is lighting fast in the states 3-4 days is the norm. Check it out and go to their webb page.

Khukri House aren't bad, but Himalayan Imports are better, plus you are supporting a Bladeforums forum holder. On top of that, you have the best money back, 'any problems guarantee' available. I have two HI khuks with another on the way and also a small HI knife. All are excellent. There are some bargains to be had on the 'Deals of the Day', but you have to be quick.
 
If the blade indicates N.K.H in bold strike, you have a KH knife. They are functional and of decent quality, the ones I have used are tough as nails and keep working even after I am spent. In my experience, these knives sharpen up well and tend to be a bit on the soft side. The glue used to hold the knives together can be somewhat of an issue, but that is what they make JB weld for. Nice blades for a good price.

i like to think of myself as a fair judge and i have one knife from kh (no problems) and over 12 from H.I. .hope my opinion helps.
