While there is still lots and lots to do you can get a feel for the website I put up. Eventually every picture will have a close-up page with photos of details and a brief description. It's going to be a long time coming but I hope it will be helpful.
www.kukris.net
This is the introduction that I don't think is up yet:
While most of these kukris and koras are in my collection some are from various sources and will not lead to a close-up details page as there is no way to get the proper photographs. My apologies for this.
It is my hope that you will find something similar to a kora or kukri you own and this will provide some information and identification. It must be pointed out that most of these are not mass produced nor are machine made so minor variations abound. Even factory made military kukris have details that confound research or definition. I have attempted to identify year of manufacture, type or area of origin and marks when found.
I will try to answer your questions and if you have a specific piece you want identified it will be neccesary to attach a good photograph and measurements. Please use this diagram as a guide although the most important information is overall length, weight and any unique marks or embellishment. info @ kukris.net
