I know nothing about Kukris. Can anyone tell me where a durable, quality kukri can be purchased?

Thanks in advance.

I've been playing with a surplus British whatever model.

$15 for the oppurtunity.

Haven't put it through much (lack of woods I can play in). But, it makes a dandy melon cutter (or wacker).

Yes, Himalayan Imports. I have 2 kukris and a small fixed blade knife with a Montana Elk hande. They are all users, really strong and have great finish.

What cybrok said, jump over to the HI forum and introduce yourself. They will answer any question you can think of. Very helpful group of people. I have more than a few kurks, HI makes the best and backs the product.

I don't have anyone yet, but I asked myself the same question that you did.
After reading a lot of reviews with hard testing:
http://www.physics.mun.ca/~sstamp/knives/HI_CS.html#comparative review (a lot there).
There is also that guy who sold a few khuks from another company, telling they were good "but not as good as HI".

That was good enough for me. So I just sit and check the deals every day waiting for the perfect khukri for me.
