Any importers of Kukris (Nepaleese or Indian made) in Canada?
How about the U.S.?
What price range do the come in ?
I have an old (marked with British Broad arrow proof & stamped 1917) With original sheath which i like very much.
And was thinking about finding one with a buffalo horn handle.
Where's the best place to look?
thanks ,Rick in Canada.

R. Taylor we have several Cantistas in Canada, so you shouldn't have much trouble getting a khukuri to your neck of the woods. As for getting a horn handled khukuri similar to the one you have, the M43 would likely be your best bet.

HI ships here in Canada. They're very Nepalese khukuris that you can get for less than $100 American and topping out at 6-800. Looking at it the other way, I've even got a small khukuri from them at $24 Canadian. That's lowrolling!

You will not find a nicer knife for the price . You will not find a more versatile knife at any price . I had my knife less than a week later . It may take a little longer in some cases . Welcome to the Canadian Kukuuri klan .

Please forgive my manners Rick.:o Welcome to the Cantina/Psycho Ward!!!! :D

We've had so many new folks lately that the ones just coming in are sometimes easy to miss.:o

I'm yet another happy Canadian HI customer. Chopped some 3" dry maple branches last night to length for the fireplace ... the edge of my khuk was as sharp as ever when we came back indoors. Unlike our US cantanista brethren, we have to pay an additional shipping cost ...

... it's well worth it.

additional shipping cost you said ??

Try Hong Kong.......... :(

But......well worth it still....... :)

You can find cheaper .(not by much ) You will not find better . I think H:I: has their game plan down so fine that shipping to another country other than the U:S: does require additional cost . Even with this cost you are still getting a quality knife that far outweighs any considerations . I consider it an investment in the future . Most models are guarranteed for life against defect .

The pettifoggers will make you cough up the GST at the post office...
Other than that, it's pretty straightforward to get an HI Khuk shipped to Canada.

I've had my vintage military kukri for about 15 years now & it's something you would not get rid of.
The feel, balance & performance is just about perfect.
I also have a cold steel atc version ,which is good ,but comes in 2nd to the original model.
Thanks for the welcome,i did collect knives a number of years ago,as well as firearms, but now my gun collection is just about gone ,time to get back into a few blades.
Now at least i think i know what I like. Now only to find the funding .lol.
All the best & thanks again for the info, regards,Rick in Canada.
