I haven't seen too many kukris appearing in Hollywood films, with the exception of Jeanne Claude Van Damme's movie "Cyborg" (made in 1989, a post-apocalyptic action-adventure).

Can anyone name more?

Thanks!

P.S. Sorry if this topic has been beat to death, but I'm kinda new here.

The inspiration for the movie model can be seen in The Mummy and The Mummy Returns. (At least I think that's where Bura got the idea.)

"Big Trouble in Little China." The magicians with the big hats carry them. At one point they take them out (all at the same time) and throw the khuks into a crowd. Kurt Russell is the star and he's my knife fighting hero. :D Quote, "Yep, it's all in the reflexes."

"Bram Stoker's Dracula" has Dr. Van Helsing (Anthony Hopkins) beheading the Count's vampire brides left and right with a large khuk, and Jonathan Harker has a smaller one which he takes an unsuccessful swipe at the big D himself with! :)

Most interesting telling of the Dracula story I've ever seen. If only they had kept Keanu Reeves away from it.

Yes, in the knife fight scene on his boat, Costner's chracter, The Mariner, fights with a khukuri and kills his opponent.

The second Austin Powers movie, Mustafa (Will Farrell) has one when he confronts Austin Powers.

I'm sure many more films in India feature the khuk more than western cinema.

Hi Guys
Craig Sitch is an excellent armourer, the Italian Rapier shown is actually mine. While Lord of the Rings was being made here our local sword makers (2) were unavailable so sent our orders to Aus instead.
He does take his time though.
