Kukri's on atlantacutlery.com

real deal , fair price, but like most old kuks it might be a bit battered.

Is it cold up there?

Yvsa - I was talkin' with my father-in-law about the Atlanta khuks....seems like I read somewhere you could get just the blade if you asked. Is this true?

He wants an old khuk to mess around with and all mine are already spoken for....:D

Cool....just ordered their catalog.

Yep!:D

Not real sure but I think I saw them on their online catalog as well. I think the longleaf blade is $99.00 which isn't bad really.
If I had the funds I would get several of the blades and when I put a handle on them I would probably drill a hole through and pin the handle on the tang, as well as the modern epoxy. Couldn't hurt although my old ones seem very secure.

I still haven't done anything with my antique khukuri's or the rusty karda's I got from AC as I have been continuously undecided as to what I wanted to do with them up 'tll just recently.
Now I have decided to restore them to as much of their former as new state as possible for me.
They will all have satin finishes though no matter what the original condition.
I just don't think they would look right if they were polished.:grumpy:

They were on the site , so were the original traditional scabbards for a short while, also mk.2 kukri, & ww2 scabbarrds.

But these all appear to be sold out now.

just longleaf, bhojpure, ww1? traditionals, kardas & possibly ww2 k45s left.

wonder how long the will last before ebay is the only option again & the prices go back up?

I was always afraid to get one, from their description they sounded like they were in pretty rough shape... I also figured atlanta wasn't going to let anything valuable go for cheap...

They are going to have patina. Some have significant nicks and bends. I ended up with three that are pretty nice considering they were issue pieces over 100 years old.

The one bare blade I got (Bhojpure) was also fine.

bare bhojpure......sounds cool to me. :D
