I have a few knives that I own that I have used so much that they have developed a "legendary" status in my mind, and so I have retired them.
For instance, the GRS that was one of the origional runs that was sharpened my Yvsa, and still shaves even though I have cut and limbed 3 large trees with it, has been retired.
I am thinking that my BM 710 William McHenry in ATS-34 is about to be retired. I have had it since my first Senior year in college (I had two Senior years BTW), and I think if anything ever happened to it I would be heartbroken to the point of losing my mind. Kinda like my father's Boyscout knife that his father gave him, but not a cool.
So what knives that you own are "Legendary" due to sentamental value or otherwise?
