I am in love with the blade shape of the kulgera but am quite unwilling and unable to pay the exorbitant sticker price for one if the pretty damascus versions. Has benchmade offered anything more baseline with the "modified utility drop point" blade style in the past or is it a pretty exclusive run? The triage is similar but lacks the elongated profile I find so alluring.

There are regular versions of the Kulgera is satin S30V. I happen to have one myself.

The 960 has a similar blade shape. There are HD variations for that one as well so you may be able to find one at a cheaper price. Discontinued also though.

That's beautiful. Almost exactly what I'm looking for. Discontinued I assume?

It is a beautiful knife. Slim, light, lively in the hand. Buttery smooth action with rock solid lockup. Unique to the Kulgera, the liners, screws and pocket clip have a gorgeous deep blue/grey gun metal type finish.

I think I'll have to end up settling for a 477. That seems to be the closest to what I'm looking for, and even that is unavailable in a bk1 option.

Maybe if I hold out for awhile they'll release a black class auto version with serrations and....oh who am I kiddin.
