Definitely gonna be a bit smaller tho.

My hands are falling asleep. I've been sitting on them since 6:51 waiting to see o_O

Very clever marketing technique Auntie :D

Cheers, Ray

Always coveted that Bowie ndog. Probably going down for it but she's a beaut.
I'm sure tempted to buy sight unseen. I think I'm having palpatations thinking about it.

No competition from me at least. I'm gtg.

Just picked up that 15-23 BGRS from the post today. Dar_n near the same specs as my BAS, just proportioned differently. Once I find all the random bits that go with my camera I'll try and get some pics up, stir some activity on the forum.

Btw, I dropped a note on the BF Facebook when they were asking about bugs, directed 'em @the H.I. FAQ, so our links might have a chance of getting fixed at some point.

Still wondering what it will look like. At 10 inches, it's the same length as the Mini AK Bowie (first run), but weighs only 7 ounces (compared to the 12 oz Mini AKB).

This is a remarkable knife. One arrived here yesterday, and it's quite an impressive piece of hand-forged alloy steel. Overall length 10 inches, weight just over 12 ounces. The spine thickness is awesome for a knife of this length, a full 3/8" where the handle meets the blade.

The blade is highly polished and looks more like it has 2 fullers instead of being an Ang Khola style. Here are a couple shots that try to show the fullers:

The balance point is right where the handle meets the blade, and holding the knife reminds me of holding a roll of coins in my hand. The full-size handle feels perfectly balanced by the blade. Of the 10 inches total, 5-1/8" is blade. As shown in the photo below, the spine thickness is 3/8" at the previously mentioned balance point, and tapers in both directions (tapers down to 3/16" at the top rear of the handle, and 5/16" where the spine starts to drop toward the tip).

Bhakta kami made these mini AK bowies before he left HI. I think that Auntie still has a couple remaining (the 6/25 DOTD seems to be unclaimed).

I'm usually unimpressed by "traditional" designs (I like modern high-tech), but that thing is an incredible work of art. I think I can forgive the dangerously pointy sheath for being almost as "put-your-eye-out" pokey as the blade itself. That's a safe queen, for sure.

Knowing Ndog, I don't think he uses the term safe queen. He'll find something to cut, stab or maim with it.

Go Ndog.

Wow! Just when I thought I had seen everything.

ndog - that Yuvraj Scagel is unbelievable. Probably the most aesthetic knife I've ever seen? WOW?

This man make a marvelous model. I love this man very much. Not in any mano mano way ya understand.

I love the knife too.

Thanks yall! That is a sweet blade. Im kinda fond of it myself and your right most of the time Mr. B but this one I may have to leave unmolested. If I ever have to molest it ill clean the blood off immediately so it dont stain anything. I do have another one but it more characteristic of HI style.
More candy while we wait:D

This one is a Thamar "Bowie". I like this one alot too. Only one made!
Oh Wow she put the pic up! Thats a cool knife!

Im going to hurt you dog! I can't take all this eye candy in one thread.
You realize if I make it to your part of the woods, you might have to hide those bowies!

Come on over cul! If you make it this far south id prolly give you one of them....maybe;)

Seriously though, we are trying to make the time to get to TX, perhaps next year, we're trying to catch a cruise out of New Orleans, and then spend a week before or after the cruise in TX, and plan on making time to visit you and the missus.
