I have an UF, and it's a beast. What it lacks in being fleet of foot it makes up for in cleaving power. The old "trading a finger for a hand" is cranked to 11 on that monster. If someone gets in close enough to nick you, you're probably going to win the fight if you land that bruiser's business end anywhere on their body:D

That hybrid is gorgeous. I'd love to see more of those:)

Steely, can you post a photo of your UF please?
Thank you

I tracked down a bunch of pictures but then the light came on an it's a Cherokee Rose not an Ultimate Fighter.
I had an Ultimate Fighter but it apparently didn't sing for me but it sang for somebody else, can't remember who.

I too would like to throw my hand around this one. It sings.

You gifted that gorgeous blade to a totally undeserving forumite for his birthday 2 years ago;)

Email sent for 18 inch 22 ounce Hybrid cross between (Sirupati and WWII) by Ram Kumar.

It's pretty late right now so I probably won't find out if I got it until tomorrow.

Got the Done Deal. I like the blade profile and length/weight on this one.

The Rose or the Ultimate Fighter? I thought it was the Rose.

Oh i have had a Rose for years;). Yangdu sold me a nice plain Jane one made by Bura back in early 2005.

It's a user, but it's masterful.

I received the 18 inch 22 ounce Hybird cross between (Sirupati and WWII) by Ram Kumar. I have to say that I'm very impressed with it. Not just the appearance and workmanship, but the way it feels in the hand. The handle fits my hand like a glove and the balance is almost magical. This 18" knife feels simultaneously lightweight and very robust, which seems contradictory but somehow is not.

Grats David! That is a nice shape! Has quite a bit of drop to it and the handle looks kind of Thamar-ish. Love it:thumbsup:
