Received 2 carved chandan wood Kumar Kardas from Kumar.

They are surprisingly comfortable, and the carvings are functional, i.e. grippy too. The sheaths are just beautiful.
The only thing I regret is that I did not get any of them earlier.

Thank you, Yangdu. :)

I was surprised with mine too. A really well designed, functional knife - that looks soooo cool! :D

Cool! I love KK's. If you have any pics of them I'd be glad to post them for you if you like. The Kumar Kardas are a great value considering the quality of the knife and all the carving involved.

But I guess you could say that about all HI products!

Regards,

Norm

I had bought one just to add to my collection but have found its useful and I often carry it now, it is a really great fixed blade knife. The size the weight the thickness...and looks good I would say it competes with knives that cost 3 times as much.

Norm, thank you for your kind suggestion, but I don't have a digital camera (yet).

The one thing I like in these, that the carving is not perfectly symmetrical or even, here and there there are smal chips and "miscuts". While overall very nice, they are not too nice to be afraid to use them.

Another thing is the shape of the handle: very comfortable. Another inch of the wooden part would make them even better, a kind of "one size fits all", because this handle lenghth (about 5" including the bolster) is getting close to short for someone with large hands.
