Just thought some folks might want to see the differences in the Kwik Thumb Studs and the old original One Armed Bandits. (installed here on an Eco-Lite 110)

"Kwik Thumb" (LEFT) "One Armed Bandit" (RIGHT)

Kwik Thumb is smaller, and as you can see, while the OAB is fully ambidextrous, the Kwik Thumb can be installed with the knurled side usable for left or right handed folks.

Ohhhh! I've heard a lot of people talk about the OAB on here but I've never seen one. Those things seem a little bulky. But I bet it works great

Nice comparison photo. My Kwik Thumb is scheduled for delivery next Wednesday. Now I just need to decide which knife to put it on. If I like it, and I think I will, I will probably order a few more.

Lol, yeah, I've already told the place I bought mine to expect another order from me. :)

One thing to note on 110 thumb studs, they can affect the 110 going into some sheaths. I had a problem with one on a standard nylon Buck sheath. The 110 would not slide in the sheath with the stud on.

Same here, will not go into/out of a Buck nylon sheath without some effort, and some leather sheaths as well.

Only sheath I have that is no trouble with the Kwik Thumb, is the Maxpedition large sheath/single magazine carrier.

Fits a lot of knives, and holds a Buck 110 like it was made for it.

My Kwik Thumb showed up in the mail box today. I put it on my 112 FG. I was a little worried that because of the smaller handle on the 112 it might not be as comfortable to use as on a 110. That's not the case at all. Very comfortable to use on my 112 and with the Kwik Thumb 'up' up it slides in and out of the leather sheath. Pretty cool add on for these great old lock backs.

Which would you recommend for an old titanium 186?

Either works just fine. My OAB was installed on my Titanium 560 until I took it off last week to try on the Ecolite 110 above.

Personally, I prefer the Kwik Thumb, because it just looks better to me than the OAB.
