Got to put the Ky Woodsman to work this evening on it's first Ky deer. I shot this buck about 4:00 this afternoon. By myself and it was getting dark so no in use shoots, sorry.

Man that is a nice buck. I had to cancel my trip to Ky this year due to family issues. But I will be there next year. That on private or public. I hunt on public Western Kentucky in Paducah.

Came off Dad's farm in Barren County (south central Ky), it is definitely the biggest buck I've seen on his place. Has a 19 1/4" inside spread.

Hope all is well with your family and you get to make it to Ky next year. I've never hunted western Ky, but know a few guys who have hunted LBL.

Wow, nice job. My buddy just took an 8 pointer but the rack was tiny. Congrats!

Hi kyturkey -

Wow! That's a big fellow!

Very nice - thanks for the pictures!

That is going to make a nice mount.

best regards -

You should have some venison for Thanksgiving like they originally did! Also, about how many pounds of meat are you getting out of him?

Man, great looking buck. I live on the other side of the river, but have a friend who has a horse farm in the Union/Florence/Rabbit Hash area. Have never seen anything that big in his area, usually 6-8 pointers are the norm. Nice wall rack, some venison chilli & peanut butter sandwiches sound real good about now . . :) Nice going.
Be safe.

a guy i knew who was really into African safaris always used to put a santa hat on all the critters he whacked for his Christmas pix. .375 H&H + santa hat + camera = :D

Yeah kyturkey, he's a beauty! I can just taste the Chili, Sloppy Joes and Sausage! That's making me hungry. Good luck with the trophey! We missed having you here yesterday for the "Skills Gathering"! Stay safe!
