Hey Guys:
I have slways avoided making tactical knives and have been called a hunting knife snob. However, being the prostitute that I am, when a customer offered me cash for a tactical with a Kydex sheath, I agreed to produce his design. The knife is now complete but I have always had problems making Kydex look right with the wood and foam press that I made myself. I get a wavy edge that is difficult to straigten without distorting the main body of the sheath and I don't get the nice crisp mold that I see from other makers.
Has anyone had experience with the steel molding press available from Classic Knife Industries and Texas Knife supply? It sure looks tough but does it work?
Any tutorials out there that I am not aware of?
