ok guys ,,wondering if you have ever experianced this,,
i made a kydex sheath for my scuba knife ,,i lined the inside of the sheath with nylon webbing ,cut to fit ,,to prevent any scratching,,scuffing
all in all it worked good,,the fit was what i wanted ,,,with the clasp undone the blade was snug enough it would stay in the sheath ,,even when upside down
so the other day i left it,with the knife in, on the front seat of my car in the heat and sunlight ,,,
now the fit is loose. loose enough the knife can fall out
i would have thought that the temps would not have been that high in the car?
any thoughts ? or is this just what kydex is like? what if you leave it outside in the heat?
PS its .060 kydex ,,,,would thicker be better? more resistant?

Yes, there is plenty of heat in a car parked in the sun to deform Kydex. The thinner it is the easier it will deform.
