Kydex damaging Res-C?

Depends on how tight the kydex is. I don't think it's significant because they are meant to be used and beat on anyway ;)

my mudd puppy shows a little flattening of the ridges, very very minimal, not enough to even really notice. but then again its my daily carry and use blade so its not a safequeen.

Once. Yes... And no. :)

Kydex usually rubs if anything, but I did have one sheath that just had a little piece of kydex sticking up inside that must have escaped the maker's finishing process and it faintly scratched a res-c handle. Really no big deal at all, and just a surface scratch. I stuck a finger in the sheath to feel around, found the problem, and with a small thin knife (a SAK) and a bit of sandpaper, I fixed the issue in 5 minutes or less. :)

If you do the same, please remember to really blow out or rinse out the sheath to be sure that you got any & all of the sandpaper grit out...or ya might then have a scratched blade too. :D

I had one that had a burr in it, so removed and cleaned it up. Another, the kydex was a little snug so I took ye old hair dryer and warmed it up and no more problem. The nice thing about kydex is it can be shaped and molded several times. Just a little practice and some patience.
