I keep seeing these Kydex sheaths w/ low ride set-ups...

Does anyone know if you can just order a drop-leg set-up for an existing sheath? I'm hoping you can attach them in place of your tec-lock???

thanks.

You would also need to add slots for the leg strap.

Just buying a new Sheath would prolly be easier, or look at a good picture, or maybe handle one and figure out how to duplicate the Drop portion.

Okuden makes a real nice Drop Sheath with leg straps.

Buy Brown makes a real nice High Ride Belt Sheath that tilts 45 degrees forward to ride on the other hip from where you carry your pistol.

Buy Brown's sheath is then a Cross draw and comfortable to wear with a big knife while sitting in the Car or Truck.

Drop leg makes it easier to carry a pack, that's when I use mine.

Why do you want the drop leg?, for what purpose of carry?

Good info, thanks.

Andre, it just seems really difficult to draw a BM, or any other 10 inch blade from a high ride position. I've been using cheap nylon sheaths for my choppers even though i already have a couple of good kydex sheaths for them...

Mostly hunting and camping. A little clearing and blind building -- that kind of stuff.

Try the Cross Draw, it is way easier than you might think to draw.

It does however take a little thought to put it back in the sheath.

But for the Draw, the cross draw is easy and Faster to get onto use than the leg draw.

It also puts a big knife on the other hip from pistol, making for a more Balanced carry, I have a fair number of Busse knives and a lot of differnt ways to carry them, I do like the High Desert Low ride for when I carry a Back Pack, other than that the High Ride, Cross Draw is my First choice.

Try it, you may like it.

But Opinions do vary

I'll offer some more solutions, some of which are cost neutral.

Strong side edge forward carry with a high ride. When you grab the knife, do so with your palm turned outward. If you have one of my rigs, you can set the Tek Lok to carry the knife with a forward cant to aid this, but a straight drop will also work.

Again with the above precondition, you can set the Tek Lok for cross draw as well.

If you just want a drop rig, contact me directly and we can make something happen.
