Kydex foam question

Just received my slab of kydex foam , about to secure it to a nice peice of wood I was saving for something , which side gets glued to the wood, the smooth side or the coarse side? Or does it not matter

I used industrial velcro on mine. That way I can move it around, replace it, etc. If you get the Velcro brand industrial fastener, allow it time to set - about 24 hours. I think you can find 2" x 15 foot rolls or something like that. If you put it on and don't wait, it'll pull right off.

Do not glue since imprints will wear out the side being used. Eventually u will flip the foam over for a fresh new flat side. Markings from repeated use could leave marks on sheaths.
