Kydex for neck sheath/micro kit?

I read an article some time ago where the
central figure in the story was shown with
a combination survival kit and small utility
knife hanging from his neck. It didn't look
like a kit was there-or even that he was wearing a knife. My question: could you actually, practically, combine a knife sheath
and pouch and have it constructed out of Kydex? Where would one go to have it done?

Hi Gorm,

It would have to be a real "micro(be)" kit because I wouldn't like having to much weight/bulk dangling from my neck.
I would think such a "combination" sheath/survival kit holder would be better being attached to your (waist)belt or fixed to your (back)pack straps or so.

Mike Sastre from River City Sheaths would be a guy to talk to, I have dealth with him and he's a very nice guy who is helpfull and stands behind his products or Erich Noelchen (I think I write his name incorrectly, Mea Culpa

) would also be somebody to contat with your idea.

Best scouting wishes from Holland,

I would rather have a Kydex sheath for the knife and a simple leather 'medicine bag' for the kit around my neck. It would make things much simpler to carry and easier to obtain.
