I am trying to find a sheath I can use in saltwater for my Randall 16 Diver. I e-mailed Randall but didn't get a response. (Which is ok by me since those people are busy and I have an attack/survival in que) I also e-mailed A. G. Russell and they suggested Bob Dozier Knives. When I talked to the nice lady at Dozier she said they were not currently offering Kydex for knives other than Doziers at this time. She suggested Blade-tech. Unfortunately it doesn't look like Blade-tech offers one. I have pretty much exhausted my talents on google and still can't find a sheath. It doesn't need to be fancy, it just needs to hold the knife, have a belt loop and be capable of taking straps for leg mount. (actually even the strap thing isn't critical since I could resort to a neoprene knife wrap for leg mounting) Kydex is my preference but I am open to suggestions, although I will say that most of the ballistic nylon sheaths currently made are just too cumbersome for my tastes. This has probably been covered before and I am just not smart enough to find the thread, so I appologise in advance for that. If anyone has information to head me in the right direction I would appreciate it.

You need to go bacdk to that nice lady at Bob Dozier's place and talk REAL nice and tell her how badly you need that sheath. Nobody can do it like Bob or Daniel.

You also might try contacting Tom Krein. I understand he makes some of the nicest kydex sheaths and is making them for some knife makers. If the ones that are on my TK 7's are any indication of his skill, then he would be the one I would want to make mine. He might be too busy, don't have a number for him but you can google him.

Hmm, I wonder if sending flowers in advance of call to Bob Dozier's place would help? I looked at some of his work and it is truly fantastic. I tracked down a number for Tom Krein but would like to see some of his work before calling and his website isn't really up yet. Buy Brown doesn't list a sheath for the Model 16 Randall, but they do say they do custom work...but eeeegads, I have to send them my knife. I was hoping to find a place that had a 16 to work from. I know it sounds silly, but I don't like to let that knife out of my sight. I appreciate the ideas and help...anyone have any more?
