I was asked to post this one, he said I should show a Rat in a kydex fusion sheath this time cause if I displayed another "B" in this forum I was likely to get banned! lol! ;) I'm using .90 kydex these days so these things are little tanks! I've been looking for the best of both worlds for a long time, but it seemed as if the two would just not meet , now its looking very bright indeed! :D

Lookin' good, amigo!! Any chance for a pic of the other side of that pair o' pants?? I'm interested in seeing where/how the kydex is being used among all that nice looking moo-dex. Do you dip your leather to waterproof it and, if so, can you tell us what you dip it in without having to kill us afterward? ;) :D

Oh very nice I really like the retainer it seems like it would be very accessable :D :D

Sweet rig Leatherman. How is the kydex used in the construction and to what end? Mind emailing me a price and a few more pictures?

Hi guys, and thanks for the kind words, this "fusion project" has been a long time coming. The kydex/leather sheaths that I had been seeing were just not holding together and I had to find out what was wrong. Well, after a lot of trial and error I have arrived at a surefire way to encapsulate the kydex within the body of the sheath, no plastic touches the blade and the leather stays put. I have a pic somewhere that shows the spine of the sheath. I'll find it and get it posted up here tomorrow.
And yep, the whole thing is overkill. But its really nifty overkill! :D:D:D I have been able to pare it down to 3/4" from he original 1" so its getting rather streamlined. :p
Netshock,I'll be sending you an e-mail tommorw, I'm about to hit the hay tonight. Thanks again guys, this has been a fun project! :D:D
