Kydex hard to put in and remove knife.

I just bought the Boker vox gnome and the kydex sheath it came with is really hard to put in and take the knife out of. Could this be normal or is it a mistake?

Mine jiggles a bit, but a little work with a heat gun and a homemade press should do the trick.

Try heating it up and wiggling it a bit while it cools.

I purchased a izula kydex sheath from a member that was so tight I put it to the side, a little heat and some wiggling did the trick.

The tight sheath is normal--same with mine. Too bad they didn't put more effort into it.

A lot of time when i make a new kydex sheath , if its tight , i will spray the blade with silicone , and then wipe dry , and insert the knife into the sheath , and it takes about 60 % of the friction away, and usually makes it slip a bit smoother. Scott
