Kydex holster drop carry

I've been making kydex sheaths for some time now but a friend approached me and asked if I could make a kydex drop carry for his kimber 45 double stack. Anything I need to keep in mind or different then the sheaths? Should I make a drop rig then a attachable holster or all one piece? Any templates would help to as this is my first holster I've ever tried
