I'm looking for an outside the pants Kydex holster for a Sig P229 E2. It does have the rail.
I'm currently looking at Blackhawk Serpas and Blade-Tech holsters. Any recommendations?
Thanks.

Two words - Garrett Industries.

Hybrid leather lined kydex in just about any design you can imagine. Not sure if you need one to accommodate a light or not, though. Not sure they do that. Definitely worth checking out though.

Unless You train exclusively and intensively with that holster, Id advise against the Serpa. Its IMO not for the broad shooting/carrying public.

Caveat: I dont know You, so I have no way of knowing - You might train a lot, so its nothing against You personally. Further more, I suspect the Serpa might not be as risky a holster to carry with your SIG, than it might be with a cocked and locked 1911 or a Glock.

I'm a huge Blade-Tech holster fan. Very high quality and a well established brand. So far, Blade-Tech holsters are all I use for Kydex.
