WOOO HOOO!:D Nice Job, Andrew my Steel Heart has its Nuclear Sheath. You would think that a sheath that fat would be loose around the knife, but nope that sucker snaps! My thanks to you. Sorry guys no digicam:( I just might buy a camera to take the pics and return it

Glad you like it man! :D

I'll have one of these babies at Blade for you guys to check out, BTW.

Any suggestions or other comments? Feedback is like gold :D

Wish you could post pics. I like overbuilt things. And security against breakage is great too.

I used a different glue, made the leg strap loop integral (second kydex layer forms it), and dropped the whole rig lower. Also, I used more heavy duty webbing (like seatbelt level).

Interesting...
Evolute has not yet contacted me (for the passaround). Still waiting.
All of the folks that have seen your first model think it great. Only minor comments (which I have shared with you).

Have you done the triple layer 0.060 Kydex with two layers of Kevlar yet?:D :D :D

Nope, not yet :D

I'm tempted though.....I've just got to get my hands on some 0.060" stuff :D

Forgot to mention: the leg strap is now a full 2" wide. I find it distributes pressure better and increases comfort as well as better anchoring the sheath to the leg (more secure, less movement).

Hi, Carl,

Thanks for not forgetting about me.

If you can get the sheath to me within the next 6-7 days, I will be able to pick it up from the following address:

1718 Lost Avenue

McKinleyville California 95519

Send it to me care of James Parton

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I want to warn you that, if you send it to me at this address, within the next week, I may not be able to pass it on for two or three weeks, thereafter. If you can't send it to me at this address within the next week, then it is hard for me to say when or where I'll be able to accept delivery.

I apologize about being so difficult, and I do apppreciate your kind offer to test drive the sheath.

Thanks,

Mike

The sheath definitely Rocks!:D I am in the process of making slight modifications to it based on a day wearing it the woods. I will however try to get pics of it before and after to show the minor adjustments compared to the Original configuration.
