I have a Bark River Sandstorm that needs some kydex. I prefer it to mate up with a Tek-Lok. Low profile and low cost are prefered. If anyone has some pics of this knife in kydex please share.

Thanks. :)

What? No one wants any work?

Someone out there must be able to do this!

I'd try it but you'd have a puddle of plastic melted around your knife. :o

Ken,

Sheathmakers aren't going to have every knife out there, so asking for pictures is a "crap shoot" - you may or may not get them. Most of the good sheathmakers are usually backed up enough that responding to someone looking for "low cost" sheaths isn't necessary. There is a guy on another forum who goes by the name of Sharpshooter - he does the sheath work for Bark River (both leather and kydex), so he might fit your criteria. I've had contact with some budding, or up and coming, sheathmakers around here about my "Kitchen Kydex" DVD set, and maybe one of them could help you. Other than that, best thing to do is contact some of the known names to see what they offer, costs, time frames, etc., rather than wait for them to come to you. Good Luck!!

Mike,

I'm familiar with Sharpshooter. I've been to his shop. :D:thumbup:

When I asked for pics I should have clarified that if anyone (not just the makers) has pics of the knife in kydex to post them. I'm curious as to what it may look like.

I may go about doing it myself. ;)

Ken,

Doing it yourself can be a lot of fun as well as a learning experience. Added benefit is you make it to your own idea of how it should be. Have it your way. Easy enough to do if you visualize beforehand. Again, Good Luck!
