Jerry and crew are hard at work for the NEW Kydex sheaths for the basic line. I have a special batch being made for me and hope to have them available within 6 weeks and by Blade Show. As soon as I get pics I will post them but from the ones I have here now I can say they will be sweet.

The only difference between the standard line and the custom versions I have being made for me is that mine will have a "J" loop instead of a closed belt loop. That means you do not have to remove your belt to place the knife rig on your person and you can reverse it to have a "in the pants" rig.

Prices are as follows if you plan to buy the sheath seperate.

Basic #9 Sheath $46.99
Basic #7 Sheath $42.99
Basic #5 Sheath $36.99
Basic #3 Sheath $31.99

Dealers need to contact me or Busse ASAP to get these lined up.

More info soon. I am tired

Mike,
What other carry options will the new sheaths have? I have a #7 (I just got it from you, thank you very much) with a leather sheath and I am interested in the Kydex. I have been thinking about a horizontal small of back carry for it. What do you think of this idea?
Thanks for you help,
Shawn

I would love that myself but it may be to big for that. I play with a 5 and 3 sideways and they feel better to me in that position.

Here are the pics.

Here is the 3KS

Here is the J loop I talked about.

Here is the new #9 sheath. It does not have or need the J loop.

Pretty damn sweet if you ask me

I am starting think that a #7 may be to big also. I have been sitting in chairs with the #7 in the Horizontal carry and it sticks out a little bit on the handle side. Oh well, I'll play around with it some more.

Great pics, Mike. Now that I see the J loop, I'm tempted to see if I can modify mine. Good change!

Thanks for the pics, Mike.

Mike,
How about some pics showing the differences in the sheaths from different makers? Eric, your special run, Jerry's and possibley River City if you have them? Interested in a side by side view, you know what I mean?

Thanks man!

I am going from memory but it looks like to me that the transition from the stock to the primary grind is much more of a gradual plunge on the #9 in the above than on the #7 I have. Is that an actual design difference?

-Cliff

Yes Cliff the plunge on the #7 is more pronounced than on the #9. The current run of #7's I got today are the same as the first run which I tested a year ago.
