Is there a compatible clip plate for the HEST? I may be blind but I don't seem to be able to find one the ESEE site or any distributor. I'd like to attach to my belt without having to use cord wrap. I like the one that came with my 3MIL would be optimal, that clip is bad*ss. Thanks guys.

I was looking for the same, just not very hard yet ...I'll use the paracord if I have to....I had the molle system on but removed it, now the boot clip seems like the closet thing if that would work for a belt clip

FWIW those clips are ~$1.85 and a square foot of Kydex is about $5. That's a perfect project to cut your forming teeth on, so to speak. Once you figure out how easy sheath (and holster) molding is you'll rapidly find yourself with several different "outfits" for all your knives. (And guns) :D

There's nothing specifically for the HEST now, althougb I remember Jeff or Mike mentioning that one was in the works.

NO, NO, NO you guys are going about this all wrong....

You need nothing but the sheath and 2 zip ties... I will post pics tomorrow if I get the chance.......

Try the zip ties, it keeps the knife close to you and works flawlessly..

sounds like a project I'd like to try , is there a how-to around?

Molding my own would be a good project, didnt even think about that & the zip ties sounds ideal as well. I use those for everything. Yeah, I read some older posts & saw something about new clipa coming out for HEST & another knife, just very little follow up. Thanks guys.

I use my clip plate from my RC5 - it's available separately on ESEE's site. Holes match up perfectly and it rides nicely on the belt - even prevents any snagging of the prybar, if that's a concern. $17.95 on their site.

sounds like a great option and super cheap, tho on their site there's no depth to those picures.. the 5's blade is obviously longer, so wouldn't the clip be longer than the HEST's sheath, or is the clip smaller in person, would love to see your setup :)

The new clip plate that Jeff posted up for the Izula is also made to fit the HEST.

A stout metal clip on a plasstic backer is on the way for HEST, Izula, ESEE 4 and ESEE3. I will make sure you guys know when I have pricing and delivery time. Mike

I ended up (after saying in another thread that I didn't want to do this) opening up one of the holes just a little bit on the HEST sheath and using the ESEE-3 boot clip plate. Everything still works fine without the plate in place. In other words, I BARELY had to open one hole up at all.

can you say awhile if it will allow hoizontal and vert carry? I'd like if it could be versatile like the molle clips can, tho with much less mass

I think the Izula will go vertical or horozontal and inverted. I will have to check on the others and get back. Mike

I like the idea of the RC5 clip plate Tarditi. Appreciate all the feedback guys, thanks.
