Hello,
I've got a western medieval sword (an Albion) lined up on order as a beater and practice HEMA sword, and I'd like to get it an appropriately hard-use scabbard that will be more durable than a fancy handmade leather-and-wood one. Does anyone here have any suggestions as to who might be a good maker to contact for this kind of commission? I've seen a user named steelnut suggested as someone who might be good for something like this, but I don't know if he's still in the business, or who might else be out there.
Also, does anyone have any alternative suggestions to kydex for a synthetic material in a large sheath/scabbard like this (probably 30 inches or so)?
