Kydex problem

I was jacking with the screw that makes the sheath retain the knife and I unscrewed the screw and now the sheath does not retain the knife like it did before and I have heated it with the oven stove and a zippo and now have the sheath with the knife in it in between two large books and an old steel helmet now in my haste to get the sheath back to normal and perfect retention I fear that my little understanding of kydex may have lead me to somehow ireversibly damaged the sheath. I have now taken the sheath and the knife out from under the books and helmet and it retains the knife but the knife rattles more than it did before. Please help this idiot to get the knife back to original retention. I am pretty pissed with myself at doing this because I am really wanting to carry the knife and with the sheath in this condition I am not going to do that or atleast I do not want to do that. And another thing I will never do is mess with the screws on a kydex sheath those are there for a reason and not for me to mess with.

If I screw something up I start all over again. Re-heat the kydex, flattin it out and give' er another go....Unlike my wife, Kydex is very forgiving:thumbup::D(Edit) Sorry for posting this I guess you've already drilled and installed eyelets

Did you make the sheath or is it made by someone else? If someone else made the sheath I would ask them for their advice on how to handle the issue. I wouldn't want someone out there with one of my sheaths not happy with the fit, even if they messed it up.
