kydex question

Is there any way to make a kydex sheath that doesn't have a thick rim around it? I understand that kydex needs to be reinforced to hold the blade securely, but the sheath often ends up being so much wider than the knife itself...

What do you mean by "Thick Rim" ??

If it's what the other guys here are talking about,, I guess it all depends what you want to do with it,, and what kind of hold you want to have one the knife..

I agree with these guys,, that the fold over or pouch design is the best way to do these types of sheaths...
