taco style sheaths are slimmer because there is only one line of rivets/tube fasteners. The fit of both sheaths is almost entirely dependent on the person whose pressing and fitting them - both styles can be overly tight or overly loose. Really it comes down to how slim you want it, If your okay with having something be extra wide your given more attachment points on both sides. Personally I've moved over to doing only taco style on smaller knives because it's more carryable in city. With larger knives it can be impractical, such as with the kz2 where the curve restricts how you can pull the knife out.
