I have a foldover kydex sheath that is wavy on the side where the rivets hold it together. Is there a way to straighten out the kydex, or would I be better off purchasing a new sheath? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.;)

You could certainly heat it with a heat gun and then flatten it by hand or between two books or boards.

Just be careful with where you heat, get it into the area of the knife and you will pucker the mold and it won't fit as well.

Also be sure the metal rivets don't heat up too much or they will loosen in their holes.

Good luck!

Hey Tatsu...

What kind of sheath is it, Whats it for ??

I don't suggest anyone not knowing Exactly what they are doing heating up a sheath, especially in a case like this..Straightening waves is no easy task....

If not done properly,,you'd be opening a can of worms.

If its really bad ,it may be easier, just to get a new sheath,or just live with it.

Drop me a note personally if you wish..
