For anyone who bought the early model rivet setter from KNIFEKITS.COM

We have replaced all the early dies . They were not to our specs.

The new machine and dies work fantastic!

so if i bought a set of early dies they arent any good? i havent used them yet as you were out of the press and i'd planned on building my own from an arbor press that i have (just havent had the time)

how do you tell if they are the new or old ones?

Hi,
The old ones have a pointed starting rod on them.
If you did not get a set of replacements that are pointed with flats on them please email support@knifekits.com.
We will send the new ones out asap.

im not sure which part you mean is pointed but

i believe the ones i have look like these:

are these the new or the old ones?

If they look like these we will replace them .
The new ones have flats on the point.

Thanks Darrel!! These new dies are perfect!!

The rolls are perfect every time. There is NO scratching or marring done to the eylets. Also, the new sharpened tips are useful.
