Nothing worse than a beautiful satin blade ruined by kydex scratches...
Anyone have a good method for removing them without putting a high-polish on the blade? I prefer the satin look over mirror polish.
No way of "removing" a scratch, as a scratch is caused by the removal of material. Only thing you could do is either sand the whole blade or -- nope, that's about it.
Sorry - I miss-stated the question. How do I clean up the blade and get it back to a typical satin blade finish. Steel wool? (what grade) Scotchbrite? Sandpaper? (what grit)
I also have a dremmel - anyone used this to clean up their satin blade? If so, what wheel did you use?
Thanks in advance!
Green scotchbrite normally gives a decent finish, not sure about what grit for sandpaper.
But for god's sake STAY AWAY FROM THE DREMEL. Dremels are fine for cutting materials, or polishing pivots, but are horrible for refinishing anything bigger that an M&M.
