Planning to get a new sheath for my CS LTC. It is a great worker, but the leather sheath that came with it would not last out here in the humid climate.
Would like to hear some input from anyone who has one. Pics, Makers & contacts would be greatly appreciated!!

Hey Guys....

Waxes,, Thanks for the plug...

Doing a Kukhri is a pain in the Arse...
I know that if I did them I could easily sell a bunch of them today.

The problem is the shape of the blade and the way Concealex works.

It can still be done, but for the time playing with it,, it wouldn't be worth it for me, and I doubt the knife owner would want to spend what I would have to charge for one....

There is however a possiblity that Scott Hendrix <SP?> can do it for you..

I've seen his work, and they are well done for the type of sheath they are.
His sheaths aren't form fitting,, so I think they would work Very well in a case like a Kukhri.

I don't have a phone number or anything for him,,but just look in the back of any Tactical Knives mag and you will find it there.

If someone has his number maybe they could post it here...

By far when it comes to this type of sheath, Scott is your best bet,, I know of Anyway...

ttyle Eric...

Bladetech! they make the sheaths for all CS kukris, i believe. i'd like to get one for my CS heavy kukri; don't wanna keep it in the leather sheath. CS also sells one; i'm not sure if you'd save money and/or time ordering from one rather than the other.
Also, Newt Livesay has been known to make them.

I live only about 75 miles from Blade-Tech, and have been there, and watched while a few of my Glock Kydex/Concealex holsters were being made.

.

They also make some fine knife-sheaths, and I'm sure that they can make one for your CS Khukri...Heck they might even have one "in stock, ready to go".

(It's a shame that "Normark" can't make you one), as I've seen photos of his sheaths, and they all look to be "top-notch"...In fact, I have one of his IWB's "on it's way" to me to fit my CS Master Tanto...

Eric is right - doing a khukri sheath is a PIA. Blade-Tech does an excellent Concealex sheath for the CS Khukri. The lock up is tight and the draw is smooth. Lot of subtle things there.
