Kydex sheath for a production Bushfinger?

Would this be considered somewhat taboo? I've been thinking it would be kind of nice to have kydex sheath for my production Bushfinger for when I'm in a more wet environment. I just don't know though... If I'm going to spend money on another sheath, I feel like leather is where it's at. What do you guys think?

I think that kydex would make a great compliment for the production model
If I had one I would would be in search of a kydex maker
Edit to add
If it was sporting some sort of fancy wood that would be a diffrent story

That's what I'm thinking. I wouldn't even consider it for one of the custom/handmade knives, but it just seems fitting for the production model.

We sent one today to a Kydex maker who is going to make some for us to sell. I think Kydex would be a great addition to this knife. I will let you guys know when we get some in!

Rick Lowe was telling me earlier today he wanted to get his hands on one, so he could make some kydex for them! Rick does a wonderful job with melted plastic, just as he does with leather. My RLO kydex is snug, but does not grip the blade as tight as some. Some kydex does more then just lightly scratch a blade... not Rick's!

If it's not already in the works I'll talk to ken and Andy and get a knife shipped to Rick for fitting

I appreciate the help Phillip! Really would like to get two for fitting, so I can be sure that they both will fit a liner. The production handles should be close enough to make a pattern and stay with it. This has been my thought behind doing the style using a Tek-Lok. Would seem to be a good carry option for a knife that will probably see more hard use than many custom models.

Rick, I even think a kydex with an outter shell of leather and leather belt loop might be nice! Lots of options on this one! I have an AT trip in a couple of weeks and I can't wait to get the one you just made for me!

And to think I had my flame suit on when I posted this thread...

Glad to hear there is so much interest in this.
